Makeup: Lip care edition

So I’ve been into taking care of myself more…well my face anyway. But other than eyes what’s more appealing than luscious lips? My favorite lip balm or chapstick Blistex: DCT (daily conditioning treatment) is a lip protectant and a sunscreen Spf 20
And as always if I have been really naughty and haven’t been giving my lips the time of day I always run for Carmex  and for the ultimate spa day in use the peppermint stick lip scrub which I got as a gift.  I think it’s from philosophy.  It smells like candy taste like it too. But I probably wouldn’t eat it though, taste yes eat no…

Lipsrubs can be a DIY only using 2 ingredients more if you so desire. You can make a scrub using:
Honey.   Olive oil
Sugar.   Lavender oil
Salt.     Coconut oil
Etc.so take to pinterest and find a scrub you love and or make your own. 🙂
Take care of your lips and kiss on…if you’re into that.

Special Edition NYC

So this weekend I went to special edition NYC at the Javits centers in  Manhattan. It like a pre Comic-Con. There was a super line for those tickets btw. But you could walk around see a occasional cosplay and take pictures of our with them. It was interesting. Lots if people showing they’re artwork and buying comic books or selling them. Same thing with action figures,Statues, and toys. So it was fun the only down side is that the food selection is limited and there’s isn’t a lot of places to eat. So pack your lunch cause it’s a bit over priced. If the weather is nice you can/ could eat outside. They’re were also giving away free stuff (in case you don’t have money)

Aww don’t blush

I finally got my hands on the much hyped about drug store blushes. The limited edition Milani rose power blush. Sadly, I only found one which was the last one at my nearest Walgreens (sorry). Anyway I got the color “Tea Rose” 08 it’s almost like a hot pink with some red notes in it.
  Its fiercely pigmented and intense. A little goes a long way. Too much and it looks like you got slapped in the face. It is also matte so thats a big bonus. I honestly wish I got the other 3 colors, because the set is very skin tone friendly meaning it works on everyone.
  The packaging is very nice almost to nice. They embedded or sculpture of the rose in the blush is a bit much. Makes me not want to use it. Its too pretty  and it’s limited edition! I wish they simply drew a rose pattern in gold in the lid. But that’s just my opinion.

Other wise I love this product just wish it wasn’t limited edition. Hopefully someone finds a dupe for this, that’s also a drug store product

Eyeliner

So today I finally got a chance to replace my eyeliner and I bought the e.l.f eyeliner in black comes with a mini angled brush every cool, very smooth and last very long and it doesn’t smudge super nice and dark

It’s very good and only 3 dollars. At target  very good buy.

So far college is OK. i have late night class now which i am not happy about especially since its freezing outside the long walk back to my dorm is treacherous. and textbooks are super expensive. but the internet does help.

Downton Abbey: I cant wait till Sunday. now that Downton Abbey is back and its its heating up very quickly i might add. with a shocking event already happening in episode 2 and 3 so much drama. Oh the suspense is killing me. what will they do next on Downton abbey. so many things i believe are being challenged.  Racism, Rape, Women Rights, what other issues  will the family challenge in the 1920’s in England.
On the Sims 3 Front haven’t played that in the while but i did find some really cool stuff for the game so when i do play its gonna be awesome.

DIY hair removal wax

Waxing is one of the most popular methods of hair removal. Personally, I prefer waxing because I get more ingrown hair and blotches from shaving and depilatory creams. Out of all the methods, not only do I find waxing as the most effective in hair removal, but it also takes the longest time for hair to grow back.

Over the years, I’ve been going to this affordable waxing salon called Lay Bare to get my waxing done. They use cold wax and I find that it is less painful than hot wax. But since I’m flat broke (and stuck at home), I opted to try the DIY wax. Thanks to my good friend, Google I found the perfect recipe for a homemade wax. For this, you will need the following:

– 1 cup brown sugar

– 1/4 cup honey

– juice of 1/2 lemon or if not available, 3 calamansi
